Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who has managed to cross from the country genre to mainstream pop culture, becoming an iconic figure in the pop culture. The singer also swept all over the world through her music. Swift has thrown off her country roots like she was shedding skins for second purposes, showing herself to be the most savvy pop singer/songwriter in her generation. She has the ability to harness the current zeitgeist and make it her personal. This was evident from her first songs, especially with regard to the neo homage towards Tim McGraw. On her second release Fearless (2008) Swift showcased a writer getting to know her. Fearless was successful not only in the United States, having six platinum-certified songs. The Top Ten songs Love Story & I Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. But, it also did very well across the globe. Swift soared to the top of stardom after the release of Speak Now. In the three albums that followed the three albums that followed -- Red 2012, 1989 2014 as well as Reputation 2017, Swift's popularity only increased. This was a sure indication that she was in the new music scene which she was able to fit into. She stayed on top of the charts even after she changed her style with her sibling albums folklore & Evermore in 2020.
