Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson (born April 14 in 1970) is an American actor, performer also a writer, director and actor. Her most recognizable part is that of Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to that she's produced, directed and starred for her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also acted as the bride in the Kiss the Bride movie. Benson, the daughter of a psychiatrist and a Diane Benson was born in Birmingham Alabama on January 8, 1977. Danielle is the younger sibling, and she's an artist. Benson went to a Reform Jewish synagogue when she was growing up. Her mother was a Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father, is as well Jewish.
